CAROLS
“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
This weekend there will be no service at Te Whaea at 10am as they are hosting their graduations. We are taking this as an opportunity to kick off the Christmas season with four carols services at Tory Street this weekend.
Saturday 27th November
4pm - Family Carols followed by picnic at the Pukeahu War Memorial Park
7:30pm - Night Carols followed by festive supper
Sunday 28th November
10am - Family Carols followed by picnic at the Pukeahu War Memorial Park [FULL]
6pm - Night Carols followed by festive supper
Registration is essential for all the carols services (even if you regularly attend church at that time) because of the limited numbers at Tory Street. You can register here.
COVID-19 Protection Framework
On 3rd December all of New Zealand will transition to the COVID-19 Protection Framework (aka. Traffic Light System). This means that we must change the shape of our regular church gathering on Sunday 5th December.
The Staff Team have proposed a plan which has been approved by the Admin Team and Trustees. You can read that plan here (or PDF version here). Please take the time to read the whole document so you understand the decisions that have been made.
This Sunday at 1pm at Tory Street I will be holding a session for anyone who wants to talk further about the plans.
In all of this it is important that we maintain our perspective. Our God uses hard times to bring about great good for his people. Through the Cross God turned great tragedy into triumph, pain into victory, and death into life. Please be joining together in prayer that in this season we might see great blessing and fruit for God’s kingdom in our midst and we will deal with this in a way that gives honour and glory to Jesus.
