UPDATE - Church this Sunday 3rd October

Te Whaea (our Morning Church venue) has contacted us to let us know that they are open again for us to meet there on Sunday this weekend. It is great news that we can meet together again, especially for those who haven't been able to make it to one of our POP-UP Church services.

As things stand at the moment, these are the two things the government requires for churches to follow:

  • Maximum of 100 people (not including staff) per defined space

  • Mandatory contact tracing (NZ COVID Tracer App, manual sign-in sheet or personal diary entry)

In addition to this, we are asking those that are able to wear a mask, stay home if sick and keep a bit more space from people they don't know. Te Whaea has said that mingling before and after the service can't happen in the Plaza so we will be having coffee and morning tea in Drama 2 (the usual kids church room).

A challenge is that our Morning Church regularly has more than 100 people. To make sure we comply with the current requirements we are doing a POP-UP Kids Church at 176 Tory Street for Primary School and Intermediate aged kids. They will be dropped off before church and picked up afterwards. We are expecting to run things like this for the next three Sundays.

9:50am - Drop off kids at Tory Street
10:00am - Church at Te Whaea
11:50am - Parents return to Tory Street
12:00pm - Church Lunch at Tory Street (All welcome)

As Kids Church will be running for longer than usual, it would be great if the tamariki could come with a water bottle, jersey & hat. If for any reason you would prefer to bring your kids to Te Whaea with you, that's fine.

For those with younger tamariki, Creche (pre-school ages kids) will be at Te Whaea as per usual.

At this stage Night Church will run as normal at Tory Street at 6pm.

Please, if there is no reason you need to stay home, come and join us for church this weekend! We'd love to see you there all together again!

Grace & peace,
Andrew
