A challenge we face at the moment as a growing church is that not always possible to stay on top of all the different things taking place around our church community. This means that sometimes we miss the opportunity to, as Paul says in Romans 12, to "Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn."
Needs
There are a number of people in our church who are struggling with physical and mental health challenges. It isn't always appropriate to share the details with the whole church but please do be asking how people are going and what we can be praying for them.
We also have a number of individuals and families that are experiencing difficulties with their housing situation. Broken homes, difficult flatmates or struggling to find an appropriate place to live. Please be asking God to provide for them and"Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality."
Youth Church
There is also a lot of great stuff happening around our church. One thing that I'd be keen to mention and enlist your prayers is our new Friday Night Youth Group for Intermediate and High School kids. This is up and running and is seeking to multiply and mature followers of Jesus among the youth of City on a Hill and beyond. Rob has taken on leading the team as a key project in his ministry apprenticeship.
They've had two great weeks and are looking to invite friends to come to know Jesus. Pray for the leaders, the youth, their friends and that this group will be faithful and effective at proclaiming Jesus.
Grace & peace,
Andrew
