Jesus Offers Life to the Full
Jesus says, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” (John 10:10–11)
Jesus offers life in relationship with God—the life we were created to have. A life of purpose, peace, unconditional love, and real hope—knowing that one day we’ll be reunited with our Heavenly Father in his glorious, eternal kingdom. Life with Jesus truly is best.
That’s why one of the highlights of my year is always the Life Course. The whole aim of the Life Course is to unpack these glorious words from Jesus in John 10. And every time we’ve run it over the past eight years, we’ve seen people come to receive the life Jesus offers. Praise God!
We’ve just wrapped up the latest Life Course, and we were overjoyed to see two people put their trust in Jesus. Here’s what one of them said about their experience:
“I feel like the LIFE Course has allowed me to deepen my faith and understanding of Jesus' sacrifice for me. I have just started telling people that I am a Christian, and it feels like I am part of a giant faith-based family. Thank you!”
Jesus tells us in Luke 15 that there is much rejoicing in heaven when even one sinner repents. And there’s much rejoicing here too as we see God drawing people to himself in our midst.
So here’s my question for you:
Who could you bring to hear about the glorious life Jesus offers?
It’s a life free from the weight of sin and the shadow of death.
A life filled with hope, a future, and freedom—right now.
Personally, I’ve been challenged as we’ve journeyed through Acts at church to boldly share Jesus with those around me. To pray daily and plead with God to save many here in Wellington.
Now is the time to be holding out the words of eternal life.
Now is the time of God’s patience with this world.
So will you join me—in praying, bringing, and declaring the wonderful message of life found in our glorious Saviour, Jesus?
Grace and peace,
Paul
