As followers of Jesus there is much we can celebrate!

Obviously, Christmas is a celebration of what God has done in sending his Son for us, to live amongst us and rescue us from our sin. The end of the year is also a time to rejoice in the things that God has done in and through our church over the past twelve months.

Last weekend we welcomed 25 guests to our Carol's services, some of whom had never been to church before. It was a great joy to see God work through our venue issues (Te Whaea was unavailable) to see new people come join us as we celebrated the incarnation. Please be praying for those new people that they might continue to find out more about Jesus.

We're also very thankful to God to all those who did the hard mahi to make it all possible. Special shout out to those who did food, music and decorating! It is a busy enough time of year anyway so we really appreciate those who served us so well!

Last night our Community Group spent some time reflecting and praying as we look to wrap up the year. As well as there being some tough prayer points shared, it was great to reflect on the way God has answered the prayers of his people - even in unexpected ways.

Even in the midst of COVID uncertainty, it would be great to take some time to reflect and celebrate what God has done over the last year.

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thess 5:16-18

Grace & peace,
Andrew
