Sunny Days
I hope you are able to find a moment today to be outside and enjoy the still weather with the sunshine on your face. Our God is generous to all as he shows us all his common grace through a beautiful day like today.
As I walked in the sunshine through Pukeahu National War Memorial Park on my way back to the office, it was a joy to see dozens of people out enjoying the weather. I also felt grief as I realise that many of these people are enjoying the good gifts of their creator outside of a relationship with him.
They don't know the giver of every good gift!
Over the past two nights, many of us have heard of the Sinclairs' plans to share the good news of Jesus in Japan. As they go, they've challenged us to keep sharing Jesus here in Wellington by taking an 'extra step out' in our relationships.
I find these words in Romans 10 a great challenge and encouragement.
'“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
'How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?
As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”'
Will you join me in praying and in taking the next step so that many might know the God who is the giver of every good gift - even a sunny still day in Wellington! #youcantbeatwellingtononagoodday
Grace & peace,
Andrew
