This week I received a gentle and gracious reminder that I (and we as a whole church) could be doing more to celebrate God's work and encourage one another. We could take more time to reflect on and rejoice at what God is doing amongst us and encourage those who serve diligently for the sake of Christ amongst us.

Sometimes my hesitance is cultural. It's not really what we do to make a big song and dance about people or about good things that are happening. CAROLS

This weekend there will be no service at Te Whaea at 10am as they are hosting their graduations. We are taking this as an opportunity to kick off the Christmas season with four carols services at Tory Street this weekend. […]
