Now I'm not raging at the rampant commercialism of a sacred religious holiday. Nor am I lamenting at the lack of 'Christ' in most people's CHRISTmas celebrations.

At our Carols service on Sunday we had over 50 guests come and hear the good news about Jesus at Christmas! Some of those guest have never been to church before and never heard the Bible taught.

More than 10 of those guest took home a Bible to read for themselves! What better gift could we give them than God's life changing word. 

Often in the lead up to a big event like Carols I wonder, 'Is it really is worth it?' 'Do people actually move towards faith in Jesus at things like this?' […]

This Sunday we're expecting a big crowd to join us for our Carols Service! A great deal of time and effort has been expended to make sure we present the great news of Jesus as clearly, compellingly and winsomely as possible. 

The band has been rehearsing, the bouncy castle has been booked (and risk assessments completed), dinner has been organised, prayers have been prayed and many family, friends and neighbours have been invited. […]
