Day 7
Read LUKE 2:4-7
Just thinking about Jesus being born in a stable or perhaps even in a cave with smelly, noisy animals around doesn’t remind me of a silent and peaceful night. That night had to be super stressful for Joseph as he walked from house to house looking for a place not just to sleep but for Jesus to be born. No doctor, nurse, or midwife in Bethlehem! How could any baby, let alone Jesus, the Son of God, be born in a town that was crowded with many people frantically looking for a place for their family to find rest? All Joseph heard as he was searching for a room was “Sorry, no room!” “Sorry, all beds are being used.” “Sorry, the Air BnB has already been booked . Isn’t that just the point? We need peace when our days are not peaceful This tiny baby born in such chaotic circumstances would bring the peace our world longs for. Peace with God!
